4.7. Maintenance
The collection cup should be cleaned regularly (daily or weekly, depending on the organic load).
The reaction pipe of the skimmer needs to be cleaned only once or twice a year. The venturi pump
should also be cleaned from time to time. The pump has to be removed and the complete pump
housing and mesh wheel flushed with clean water. The same procedure should be undertaken with
the air injection nozzle.
5. Powerfilter PF 1000
5.1.
Features
The inside aquarium filter PF 1000 is watertight and safe against flooding. It works in a very quiet
way. The synchronous motor is fully encased. All materials are sea water resistant.
The ceramic shaft is nearly wear-resistant so that a long life span is guaranteed. The whole pump
can be disassembled for cleaning. Each electrical part is encapsulated.
The filter can be used in aquaria up to 100 l as filter or as current pump in larger aquaria.
