2 Installation
Caution
:
The product must only be installed by skilled technical personnel.
Caution
:
The electrical system must comply with current standards in the country in which it is installed.
2.1 Preparation
The following are required:
1) a 6 A bipolar differential overload switch
2) a buffer battery unit, Aprimatic code 6607800000005
3) a 2.2 Kohm resistance
4) cables (see table below)

Note
: The components of the installation have been designed to operate at ambient temperatures from 0°
C to + 85° C. These values must be borne in mind when choosing the positions for installing the
components, to ensure that areas which are too hot or too cold do not alter the characteristics of the
components.
2.2 Electrical connections
Caution
:
Before making the connections, turn OFF the mains power supply.
Caution
:
Only use Sira type detectors to prevent malfunctioning and breakage of the CF10/ control unit.
Maximum number of detectors which can be installed: 12.
Make the electrical connections following the block diagram.
a. Use the 1.5 mm² cross-section cables for connection to the mains.
b. For the connection of the 24 VDC components, the cross section of the cables varies in accordance
with the absorption and the length of the cables. In any case, do NOT use cables with a cross section
less than 1.5 mm² .
c. Protect the control unit by connecting the 6 A bipolar differential switch with a triggering threshold of
0.03 A upstream of the control unit.
d. If required, connect the buffer battery unit, respecting the polarity.
e. Terminals 22-23 have a remote alarm signal output with maximum applicable load of 2 A 230 VAC.
f. On terminals 20-21, always connect the 2.2 Kohm line balance resistance, even if no smoke
detectors are installed.
The jumpers JP2, JP3 and JP4 are supplied in the open configuration and must only be closed if you want
to override the control panel positioned on the cover of the control unit plastic container and continue to use
the rain/wind, thermostat and emergency opening inputs.
The centralised OPEN/CLOSE commands (terminals 10-11-12 of the CF10/2 control unit) have priority
over the control unit panel buttons.
You can connect more than one control unit to CF10/2 in parallel using terminals 10-11-12 with a single
command (PV 2, TEO 3, etc.).
