Prior  to  connecting  the  USB  cable  between  the  computer  and  Easytrak  Alpha, 
please make a note of the current serial port numbers. 

 

To  observe  the  serial  port 
settings  select  “System” 
from “Control Panel” on the 
computer.    Choose  the 
Hardware  tab  and  click  the 
“Device Manager” button.  

 

 

 

After  selecting  “Ports  (COM  & 
LPT)”,  a  Window  similar  to  that  to 
the right is displayed.   

 

It  can  be  seen  to  the  right  that  the 
serial  ports  already  assigned  are 
COM1 and COM3.

switched off ensure the USB 
cable is fitted between Alpha
