7. Dr. Voice II and JP15/16 (for AX45F-4D Max)
6. Memory Module (128-Bit DDR Dual Channel)
9. Support LAN onboard
In the past, we used to have 64-bit memory bandwidth for memory access. No matter how
many memory modules have been installed, though capacity added, the speed of access
remains the same. With 128-bit dual channel introduced, it doubles the memory
bandwidth up to 6.4GB in advanced 128-bit mode. AX45F-4D Series motherboards
support DDR 400/333/266 with Maximum capacity up to 4GB.
Dr. Voice II is a great feature which can identify the problems you may encounter in the
operating system. It can clearly “tell you” whether the problem is caused from
components or improper installation such as CPU, memory module, VGA, PCI add-on
card, FDD, HDD or keyboard. Dr. Voice II provides four language versions:
English
,
German
,
Japanese
and
Chinese
. You can select your preferred language by JP15 &
JP16 jumpers. Furthermore, you may also set JP2 to choose sending out voices from
buzzer or speaker.
8. Support USB 2.0 Connector
This motherboard provides eight USB 2.0 ports to connect USB devices, such as mouse,
keyboard, modem, printer, etc. There are four ports on the back panel. You can use proper
cables to connect the Front USB connector to USB modules or front panel of chassis.

On the strength of Gigabit LAN controller (AX45F-4D Max and AX45F-4DL) or Realtek
10/100Mbps LAN controller (AX45F-4DN) on board, this motherboard provides 10/100
Mbps (for Gigabit LAN, it is 10/100/1000 Mbps) Ethernet for office and home use.
AX45F-4D motherboard does not support LAN onboard. The Ethernet RJ45 connector is
located on top of USB connectors. The right hand side LED indicates link mode, it lights in
orange whenever linking to network. The left hand side LED indicates the transfer mode
and it lights in green when data is transferring in 100Mbps (never lights while in 10Mbps),
but lights in orange when transferring in Gigabit’s mode. To enable or disable this function,
you may simply adjust it through BIOS.
