4K Compact Matrix
3.3 Installation Procedure
1. Connect HDMI sources (e.g. SKY Q) to HDMI input ports of the Matrix
Switcher using good quality HDMI cables.
2. Connect the Pre-Installed CAT6 cable infrastructure to Matrix Switcher
and HDBase-T receivers.
3. A local TV set may be connected to the matrix via the HDMI output port.
4. Plug in an HDMI cable in to each of HDBaseT Receiver and connect to
the local TV set.
5. Connect AVR amplifier (if used) to SPDIF output port or via the Toslink
optic fibre cable.
6. Audio out on RCAs can be used if required.
7. The IR TX sensors should be connected to the IR OUT ports on the matrix
and positioned in the correct location on the source devices.
8. The IR RX sensors are connected to the IR IN ports on the HDBase-T
receivers to enable control of the matrix and sources in the remote
location(s).
9. Plug the phoenix connector in to the RS232 socket on the matrix,
this enables the matrix to be controlled via a PC or 3rd party control
system.
10. Connect an Ethernet patch lead from the router in to the Ethernet port on
the matrix to enable control via TCP/IP protocol.
11. Finally connect the mains cable. Once you have ensured all components
have been connected and the installation is completed, switch on the
mains supply at the socket.
Note:
•
We recommend a straight-through cable run from the matrix to the HDBase-T
receiver. Avoid using patch panels or wall plates.
