1015315 – Leg strap Meleze 3 L

Material

: Polyester

Characteristics: Belt compliant with EN 358 and EN 813 standards, comprising two side buckles for holding

the wearer in their working position (EN 358) and one ventral point (EN 813) formed by two ventral rings to be

combined to offer suspension. Thigh straps with automatic buckles.

Fitting the cross belt:

1.

Adjusting the belt and back support

Close the belt and adjust it (thigh straps open)

 2.

Adjusting the cradle

The cradle is designed for the climber to sit in. It supports some 80% of their weight.

With your feet on the ground, connect to the retaining line using the self-locking knots.

Recline 45° in relation to the anchoring point.

Position the cradle under the top of the thigh (similarly to when sitting on a trapeze)

Adjust the length of the cradle’s triangulation straps so that you:

•

Do not feel too tightly strapped in around the thighs

•

Retain the self-locking knot at the thigh level

NB: At this point, the back support does not yet support your back.

3.

Adjusting the back support

The back support in intended to support the climber’s back. It supports some 20% of their weight.

Still reclining at 45°, adjust the upper triangulation system so that it will support the back.

Move to complete suspension.

Refine the adjustment of the back support.

4.

Adjusting the thigh straps

Close the thigh straps and adjust them.

NB: An ideal adjustment should let you run a hand between strap and the thigh.

5.

Adjusting the cradle back straps

Again position yourself at 45° in relation to the anchoring point (with the cradle placed under the top of the

thigh).

Adjust the cradle’s two back straps so that they are as short as possible.

NB: The cradle is correctly adjusted if it positions itself automatically at the top of the thigh level when moving

from the standing to the sitting position. It should not position itself at mid-thigh level.

6.

Refining the adjustments

Check that the adjustment lengths are symmetrical.

Store any surplus strap:

•

For the cradle, in the elastic loops and/or in the cradle sheath

•

For the back support, in the elastic loops and/or in the saw holder loop.
