OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
USE OF THE CHARGER
The PHOTO CAM III is a microprocessor controlled plug-in charger for 2 or 4 nickel metal hydride (NiMH)
or nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries of the sizes Micro AAA or Mignon AA. It is recommended that you
only charge batteries of the same size and capacity at the same time to ensure optimum charging of
all cells (see picture 1).

> Microprocessor controlled charge
> Double protection against overcharging (-dV; safety timer)
> Trickle charge after termination of fast charge
> Charging status indicator via LED
> Reverse-connect protection
INDICATORS
LED red: steady light indicates fast charging/ flash light indicates that at least one faulty battery or a non
rechargeable battery has been inserted in error. LED green: steady light indicates the termination of the
fast charging process of circular cells. The fully charged batteries are provided with a trickle charge and
can remain in the charger for an unlimited period of time until they are needed.
ATTENTION
Only insert Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries or Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) batteries. Danger of explosi-
on if other types of batteries are inserted.
Please note that the charger is suitable to charge only fast rechargeable NiMH or NiCd batteries. Never try
to charge alkaline, zinc-carbon, lithium or other types of batteries.
SAFETy INSTRUCTIONS
> Keep the charger in a dry place (indoor use only).
> In order to avoid the risk of fire and/or electric shock, the charger must be protected against high
humidity and water.
> Do not plug in the charger if there are any signs of damage to the housing or mains plug pins.
