
command as labeled. Nearly always, there will be a command button
labeled HELP, which gives access to the HELP text (see below). Of-
ten, a dialog window will be used only to transmit information to the
user. The command button labeled OK serves to close the dialog
window.
A command button labeled CANCEL is always provided to allow a re-
turn to the previous status without taking an action.
Starting AutoCal
The AutoCal software is started by executing the program
auto_cal.exe in the directory where the software is installed (as chosen
on page 2-3). Alternatively, the software can be started by clicking the
AutoCal icon in the Program Manager (if one has been created).
If there is no AutoCal Program Manager icon, click File in the
Program Manager or File Manager, choose Run, and type:
disk partition:\AutoCal directory\auto_cal
Press OK.
For example: e:\autocal\auto_cal
[OK]
The AutoCal program will appear and will display the
Characterization Files dialog window.
Using AutoCal HELP
Most of the information necessary to use the AutoCal software is
contained in the extensive associated HELP files.
All AutoCal dialog windows contain a command button labeled
HELP. Clicking HELP brings up descriptive material appropriate to
that dialog box. Frequently, terms and references used in any HELP
screen are displayed in light green with an underline. When the cursor
