Maintenance, cleaning and storage
Note:
Before beginning maintenance, repair and cleaning please ensure the appliance
is switched off and the electrical cord is removed from the mains supply.
When carrying out maintenance on the cutting blades, please be aware that the
motor will not start due to the “interlock” feature of the guard however the
cutting blades can still move if the motor is turned by hand.
Never attempt to override the interlock feature of the guarding.
Clean the appliance after every use. Clean the plastic parts including the main
body with warm soapy water and a standard cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning
substances on the appliance.
Do not attempt to clean the shredder with a jet washer or by rinsing it under a
tap. Water should never enter the appliance.
After using the appliance, always empty debris deposited in the appliance with a
brush.
Only use recommended accessories and attachments with the shredder.
