6.  Run another brew cycle until all the 

descaler  has  passed  through  the 
appliance. 

7.  Then  run  clean  water  through 

appliance  another  three  times 
before using again. 

Descaler  can  be  bought  from  all  good 
supermarkets. 

You  can  also  descale  your  appliance 
using a vinegar solution. In order to do 
that, follow the steps below: 

1. Mix  one  part  water  with  one  part 

distilled white vinegar. 

2. Run  the  solution  through  the 

machine  as  described  on  the 
previous  page,  but  make  sure  to 
remove  any  coffee  first.  Once  the 
solution has run through, discard. 

3. Rinse  the  machine  by  running  fresh 

water through it three times. 

Cleaning and maintenance  

 

Always  remove  the  plug  from  the 
socket before cleaning the appliance. 

 

Wipe  the  main  body  of  the  coffee 
maker with a wet cloth only. 

 

Always  ensure  that  the  coffee  pot 
has  cooled  down  completely  before 
cleaning. 

 

The  filter  holder  can  be  removed  by 
lifting the filter holder handle up. 

 

Removable parts including the coffee 
pot, filter holder and the mesh filter 
should  always  be  hand  washed  in 
warm 

water 

with 

neutral 

detergent. 

 

Always ensure any removable parts 
are 

clean 

and 

dry 

before 

reassembling the appliance.

Never use a dishwasher to clean any 
part  of  the  coffee  maker  including 
the coffee pot.
