AMX TDS (Television Delivery System) 

Upgrading Firmware on DTV Transmitters and Receivers

The 

Firmware Upgrade

 option in the Transmitter Setup and Receiver Setup pages (in the Digital TV 

Configuration Manager) allows you to upgrade the device firmware on DTV-TX03-US Transmitters and 
DTV-RX02-HD Receivers.



Before attempting to upgrade the firmware, you must have the appropriate *.DST file for your DTV 

Transmitter and/or Receiver.



Check 

www.amx.com

 for the latest device firmware files.

Upgrading Firmware on DTV Transmitters

1.

Access the Digital TV Configuration Manager (see the 

Digital TV Configuration Manager

section on 

page 53).

2.

Click the 

Tx Setup

 command button to open the 

Manage Transmitters

 page. 

3.

Select 

Firmware Upgrade

 to access the 

Transmitter Setup - Firmware Update

 page (FIG. 95). Use the 

options in this page to upload new Firmware (*.DST) files to DTV Transmitters. 

4.

Select a Transmitter in the 

Manage Unit

 list.

5.

Click 

Browse

 to select the new firmware file.

6.

Select the desired firmware file and click 

Upload

. 

Click 

Upload To All

 to upload the specified *.DST File to all Transmitters of a similar type connected to the 

Master. For example, if the currently selected Transmitter is a DVB-T, 

Upload To All

 updates DVB-Ts only 

(and not DVB-Ss).

The read-only Firmware Version field indicates the firmware version currently 
loaded on the selected Transmitter.
