Safety and Operation

Please read before operating your unit!

1.

Read Instructions: This manual should be read thoroughly prior to operating the

unit.

2.

Retain Instructions: This manual should be retained in a safe place for future

reference.

3.

Heed Warnings: All warnings on the unit and in this manual should be adhered

to.

4.

Follow Instructions: All operating and use of instructions should be followed.

5.

Water and Moisture: The unit should not be used near water (washtubs, sinks, in

a wet basement or near a swimming pool, etc.).

6.

Ventilation: Overheating caused by improper ventilation is one of the primary

causes of premature failure of electronics. The unit should be situated so that its
location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the unit
should never be situated on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that may block
ventilation openings; or placed in a built-in installation, such as bookcase or cabinet that
may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings.

7.

Heat: The unit should not be situated in any excessively hot area.

8.

Dust: The unit should not be situated in any excessively dusty area.

9.

Grounding or Polarization: Do not attempt to defeat the grounding and

polarization protection provided by the design of the power adapter plug.

10.

Power Cord Protection: Power supply cords should be routed so they are not

likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them.

11.

Object and Liquid Entry: Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and

liquids are not spilled into the unit enclosure through openings.

12.

Damage Requiring Service: The unit should be returned to AMTC when:

a.

The power supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or

b.

Objects have fallen, or liquid has spilled, into the unit; or

c.

The unit has been exposed to rain; or

d.

The unit does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change

in performance; or

e.

The unit has been dropped or the enclosure has been damaged.
