Please note:
If you notice water pooling in the fridge, and the
evaporating tray is dry, it is likely that the drain hole passage is
blocked (see page 16).
Defrosting the freezer
The freezer should not require defrosting in normal operation. In
this appliance, cold, dry air is circulated evenly around the freezer at
several points via a blower fan. This evenly dispersed air should cool
all of the contents equally and uniformly, thus preventing humidity and
freezing.
If you notice sporadic frost patches, it may be linked to how the
contents are stored in the freezer (e.g. blocking one or more air
outlets) or an issue with the door seal:
•
Check that there is some resistance when opening the door of the
appliance. If it opens at the slightest touch it may mean that the
door seal needs to be replaced.
•
Check the door seal for any kinks, debris or damage. If you notice
any, and are unable to resolve the issue yourself, contact Amica
Customer Care so that the seal can be replaced.
•
It could also be indicative of an issue with the fan/cooling system.
