Sweeping of flue pipes to the chimney
Flue pipes must be swept through the flue pipe sweeping hatch or through the
stove’s door opening. Then, the baffle plates must be removed. An annual internal
cleaning is necessary to get the best heating effect from the stove. Please do this in
connection with the sweeper of the chimney and flue pipes in local.
Inspection
AMI Fires recommends that you personally inspect your stove carefully after
sweeping. Check all visible surfaces for cracks. Seals on doors and glass panels are
subject to wear especially due to the heat. We recommends that seals be checked
regularly and replaced 1x annually. (Seals are wearing parts and are not covered by
the warranty)
Firebox linings
Firebox may crack during use. Cracks in the firebox lining will not impair the function
of the
stove. The firebox lining should be replaced if it is burnt through or starts to crumble.
(Firebox linings are consumable parts and are not covered by the warranty).
Glass panel
The glass panel is highly heat resistant. Bubbles in the glass are due to production
and are not a quality defect. (The glass panel is not covered by the warranty).
Stock/Spare parts
Stock/spare parts, in particular moving parts, are liable to wear with frequent use.
Only original spare parts must be used. At the end of a heating period, it is
recommended to have the stove serviced by your local dealer.
Enamel
AMI Fires recommend cleaning with a moist cloth and soapy water. Do not use any
cleaning products containing acid. Do not place cold containers on hot enamel
surfaces. The difference in temperature leads to stresses, which can cause the
enamel to crack.
11. Troubleshooting-Operational problems
Burns too quickly
If the stove is new, Are the upper baffle plates pushed all the way back? If the stove
is more than one year old or has been used frequently, the seals may need to be
replaced.
Poor draught
Check the length of the chimney and that it complies with national laws and
regulations.
Make sure that the minimum cross section on the chimney is according to our Tech
Date.
