Carrying out the measurement
Caution! Risk of injury!
The sample clamp is held in place by springs. If the sample clamp suddenly
folds down and you have your hand under it, you could sustain an injury.
Never place your hand under the sample clamp.
Caution! Electrical shock!
The sample clamp provides the contact between the sample and the plasma
generator. There is a risk of suffering an electric shock when handling the
sample clamp.
Never tamper with the sample clamp.
Caution! Risk of burns!
A sample can get hot if it is measured several times.
Touch the sample only after is has sufficiently cooled.
Caution! UV radiation!
The arc on the spark stand generates UV radiation.
Use the appropriate sample adapter for samples that are not completely
covered by the spark stand opening.
Take appropriate protective measures (e.g. wear safety goggles) when
the spark stand opening is not fully covered.
Notice! Measurement errors!
A flawed initial startup, operation or sample preparation can lead to
analytical measurement errors.
Therefore, ensure all necessary requirements for a correct
measurement are met.
