If using a thermocouple as a linear 4 to 20mA input, then a transmitter 

must be used scaled to fit one of the following ranges: 

0 to 600°C    30 to 1100°F 

0 to 1100°C   30 to 2000°F 

0 to 1600°C   30 to 3200°F
