This light control automatically turns a light on when motion is detected and off 10 minutes after the motion stops. It senses activity
at distances up to 30 feet away. Never come home to a dark house again.
Damp Locations Only – Not for Wet Location Use – Suitable for fixtures from 8 feet to 18 feet high.
Caution:
This motion sensor is not designed for use with an enclosed or shaded fixture of any kind. Infrared cannot penetrate glass
or plastic. Works with any compact fluorescent, halogen or incandescent bulb 150 watts max.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
• Turn power to light socket off.
• Remove the light bulb from socket.
• Screw the Motion Activated Light Control into the empty socket until snug.
• Screw the light bulb into the Motion Activated Light Control.
•
For best performance, the sensor window should orient below the bulb. (See Fig. 1) If it is
not, rotate the Motion Activated Light Control counterclockwise until the sensor window
is between the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions. This is achieved by unscrewing the
Motion Activated Light Control until the sensor is in the optimal position. The spring
loaded pin at the base of threads will maintain electrical contact with the fixture up to
270° (3/4 of one full turn) from it’s fully seated position.
• The motion sensor can be tilted up or down (up to 20° in either direction) and rotated left
or right (up to 90° in either direction) to accomodate your unique installation. (See Fig. 1)
Note:
Be sure to position the Sensor Window so that it can “see” past the bulb or any
other object that may block the Sensor’s view. (See Fig. 2)
Caution:
Do not adjust motion sensor after adapter is installed into socket.
• Turn the power on. If it is dark, the light will turn on. The light will turn off 10 minutes
after you leave the area. If it is daytime, the light will not activate until it becomes dark.
• The unit will now automatically turn the light on when motion is sensed and off 10
minutes later.
Note:
This unit has a sensor to prevent lights from being turned on during daylight hours.
Other lights in the field of view may interfere with proper operation of the sensor at night.
To remedy, reposition sensor window away from other light sources, and in dual light
fixtures, position sensors so that they face away from light shone from adjacent bulb. (See
Fig. 3)
