BASIC WAFFLES

INGREDIENTS

150 g plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 egg
300 ml milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Pinch of salt

METHOD

Plug your waffle maker into the mains power
supply and allow it to heat up, ensuring that
the lid is closed.
The green light will turn off after approximately
5 minutes indicating that your waffle maker is
ready to use.
Meanwhile, sift the flour and baking powder
into a large bowl, then stir in the sugar and salt.
Make a well in the centre of your mixture.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg, milk and oil
together, then pour this mixture into the well of
your dry ingredients.
Mix all of the ingredients together to form a
smooth, thick batter.
Spoon the mixture into each waffle mould in
your waffle maker and carefully close the lid.
We recommend using 3 tbsp of mixture
per waffle.
Cook your waffles for 8–10 minutes or
until golden.
Carefully remove your waffles using a heat-
resistant plastic or wooden spatula and leave to
cool on a wire rack.

Always unplug your waffle maker from the
mains power supply before attempting any
cleaning or maintenance.
Ensure that your waffle maker has completely
cooled before cleaning, as it gets very hot
during use.
Clean the upper and lower cooking plates with
a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and
dry thoroughly.
Never immerse your waffle maker in water or
any other liquid.
Your waffle maker is not suitable for
dishwasher use.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning
