  Precautions

Safety Issue: 

This unit may blow the breaker if the maximum allotted 

load of 2 amps is reached. If the fuse needs replacement, please see 
the fuse replacement guidelines on page 5.
•   Be sure the local power outlet match the required voltage of the  
   unit.
•   Disconnect from main power before making any type of connection.
•   Do not remove the cover under any conditions. There are no 

 

   user serviceable parts inside.
•   Always be sure to mount this unit in an area that will allow proper  
   ventilation. Allow about 6” (15cm) between this device and a wall.
•   To reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose this unit  
   rain or moisture
•   This unit is intended for indoor use only, use of this product out- 
   doors voids all warranties.
•   During long periods of non-use, disconnect the unit’s main power.
•   Always mount this unit in safe and stable matter.
•   Power-Cord Protection - Power-supply cords should be routed   
   so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items    
   placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at 
   plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from 
   the fixture. Do not attempt to remove or break off the ground prong  
   from the electrical cord. This prong is used to reduce the risk of  
   electrical shock and fire in case of an internal short.
•   The fixture should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
    A. The power cord or the plug has been damaged.
    B. Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance.
    C. The appliance has been exposed to rain or water.
    D. The fixture does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a  
         marked change in performance.

     Operation

Introduction: 

The  American  DJ

  Dual  Gem

  LED™

  is  a  dual  output 

LED moon-flower effect. This fixture is designed for mobile DJ’s, clubs, 
bands, roller rinks and any arena that requires a compact, light weight, 
easy to use unit. 

Power Supply:

 

Before plugging your unit in, be sure the source volt-

age in your area matches the required voltage for your American DJ

®

 

Dual Gem LED™ before attempting operation. 

General Operation:

 

This fixture is designed to operate as a stand 

alone sound active unit, there is no need of a controller. It has been 
tested  and  there  is  no  assembly  necessary.  The  Dual  Gem  LED™ 
is  ready  to  be  plugged  in  out  of  the  box,  there  is  no  power  switch. 
When  this  fixture  is  plugged  in,  the  units  two  LED  panels  will  start 
to project preset designs, all to the sound of an audio source via an 
internal microphone. The audio sensitivity is preset at the factory for 
optimum performance and is not user adjustable. After plugging the 
unit  if  there  is  no  LED  output  check  the  breaker.  If  the  breaker  has 
not popped, please contact customer support for further instructions. 
This  fixture  features  a  light  weight  case  design  and  an  adjustable 
hanging bracket.

            Warranty Registration

The  Dual  Gem  LED™  carries  a  three  year  (1095  days)  limited  war-
ranty.  Please  fill  out  the  enclosed  warranty  card  to  validate  your 
purchase.  All  returned  service  items  whether  under  warranty  or  not, 
must be freight pre-paid and accompany a return authorization (R.A.) 
number. If the unit is under warranty you must provide a copy of your 
proof  of  purchase  invoice.  Please  contact  American  DJ

  customer 

support for a R.A. number.

This  unit  is  equipped  with  a  built-in  safety  breaker.  This  breaker  is 
designed to close the power circuit in the event of an internal short 
or power surge. This will reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire and 
protect the circuitry. To reset the breaker, push the breaker button in 
until you hear it “pop” back in to place. If the breaker continues to pop, 
stop using the unit and contact our customer support team, the unit 
may need to be returned for service.
