4.2 LED Indicators
Indicator Light Description
Power Green, steady
The transponder has been powered up
correctly.
By USB power the Power LED does not light
showing that the transponder is in USB power
mode.
Error Red, steady MMSI is not properly programmed
Red, flashing
The transponder has detected a BIIT system
error.
Please refer to Chapter 4.5 Built-In Integrity
Test for detailed explanation.
Rx Green, flashing The transponder is receiving AIS data.
Tx/Silent Orange, flashing The transponder is acquiring a GPS fix, no AIS
transmission during this time period.
This can be the following situation:

The device is just newly powered on and is
acquiring a GPS position fix prior to
transmitting its first vessel information
report. This process may take several
minutes.

The GPS position fix has been lost. The
device is attempting to re-acquire position
