Chapter 3  Conclusion 

The AMD Opteron™ and AMD Athlon™ 64 processor thermal reference design solutions 1 and 2 
have been presented in this document. These thermal solutions should provide the thermal 
engineer the design information to either implement the thermal reference design solutions 
presented or to design a solution that meets the thermal and mechanical requirements of the 
AMD Athlon 64 and AMD Opteron processors
