Wall Thermostat:
Installing Wall Thermostat:
Choose a mounting location about 5 feet above the floor in an area with good air circulation (preferably on an inside
wall) and away from the following:
•
Air Ducts
•
Radiant heat from the sun and appliances
•
Concealed pipes and chimneys
Installing Wall Thermostat:
1.
To remove the front housing, slide the side door up.
2.
Press the tab down to disengage it from the front housing.
3.
Align the back housing to the desired location. Mark two (2)
holes using the housing or template
4.
Drill two (2) holes and insert the plastic anchors carefully until
they are flush with the wall.
5.
Fasten securely the back housing to the wall with the two (2)
screws.
Installing Wire to Wall Thermostat:
Use 18 gauge wire, 105ºC rated, with as few splices as possible.
Wire can be no longer than 25 feet. Follow the homeowner’s manual for
connecting the wire at the appliance, for example, if you have a gas
millivolt valve system, the wires are connected at the TP/TH and TP junctions at the valve.
1.
Loosen up the terminal block screws.
2.
Connect the wires from the appliance to the terminal blocks as shown.
3.
Tighten the screws.
WARNING
Make sure that the wires do not contact the appliances any place other than at the terminals.
Exposure to temperatures higher than 105C (250ºF) may cause the wall thermostat to
malfunction or fire hazard.
