4. Press down the battery compartment lid until you hear it click into position, then
replace the battery compartment cover and close the cover by turning it to the
left in the direction of
Close
.
Using the electric corkscrew
1. Use the foil cutter

to remove any foil from the bottle before removing the
cork. To do so, place the foil cutter around the neck of the bottle and then rotate it
while pressing it gently (see
Fig. C
).
2. Place the electric corkscrew

on the top of the wine bottle, making sure that it
remains as upright as possible at all times. If you hold the electric corkscrew at an
angle to the bottle, the cork will not be removed properly.
3. Hold the electric corkscrew fi rmly and press and hold the cork removal button

).

will rotate clockwise and enter the cork, and will then
gradually remove the cork from the bottle.
When the corkscrew stops, the cork has been fully removed from the bottle.
4. Release the cork removal button and lift the electric corkscrew away from the
bottle.
5. Press and hold the cork ejection button

to remove the cork from the
corkscrew (see
Fig. E
).
The corkscrew spiral will rotate anticlockwise to eject the cork.
6. Release the cork ejection button once the cork has come off the corkscrew spiral
and then return the electric corkscrew to the storage base

Using the accessories
Wine preserver pump and wine stopper
Use the wine preserver pump and a wine stopper to preserve the fl avour of opened
wine for up to 3–5 days.
1. Push a wine stopper

into the opening of an opened bottle. Make sure the
wine stopper sits fi rmly in the opening.
2. Place the wine preserver pump

on top of the wine stopper (see
Fig. F
).
3. Press the wine preserver pump against the wine stopper and start pumping by
using the handle of the wine preserver pump (see
Fig. G
).
4. Stop pumping when it becomes hard to operate the handle. This indicates an
optimal vacuum seal of the bottle has been achieved.
