To demonstrate reading from and writing to the SRAM, perform the
following steps:
a.
In the MAX II PCI application, choose the command to be
Target Loop
(default).
b.
Set the Address Offset to 0x0 (default).
c.
Change the number of bytes to 512.
d.
Choose the data type to be
Random
(default).
e.
Click
Execute
.
f.
Review the results in the display window.
8.
To demonstrate control of the LEDs, do the following:
a.
Click on any one of the check boxes above the LEDs.
b.
Verify that the corresponding LED lights up on the board.
9.
To demonstrate reading the value from the temperature sensor, do
the following:
a.
Click on the
Read
button (under the temperature control
group) of the application. The data read from the sensor is
displayed in Centigrade.
b.
Click the
F
radio button to convert the value to Fahrenheit.
10. To demonstrate reading the PCI configuration registers, do the
following:

Read
button (under the Config register group) of
the application. The value of the various configuration registers
is displayed in the application.
