Remove the passenger’s side top and bottom
glove box compartments by extracting (6) T15 Torx
screws.

Unclip the USB cable from the metal bar support
and disconnect the green connector from the HMI
box (may not be available on the center console
equipped truck)

For trucks equipped with glove box USB, the
included adapter can be plugged into the USB that
is connected to the HMI box.

Remove the bottom tab on the green USB
connector using a razor blade. (This will allow the
OEM USB adapter to connect properly.)

Vehicles that have the USB port in the glove box can use the included adapter to integrate that one USB port
to the head unit.

Vehicles that have the factory Bose audio system will have a pair of USB ports in the dash. Use the USB
case that is included with the KCX-BOSE-GM module to replace the OEM USB ports with the aftermarket
case and extension that plugs into the back of the head unit.

For all other vehicles, run the included USB extension to either the center console or glove box (which
ever is the preferred location). Using a 3rd party piece (sold separately) like the PAC HDMI-USB-CBL is

The OEM USB ports in the center console will have no connectivity to the head unit. They will only be able to
charge devices.
