Error Messages
An Error message is caused by a critical inverter fault. When this occurs, the inverter will usually shut
down and will display a fault LED. One or more messages in this menu will change from
N
to
Y
. An error is
also accompanied by an event message (see page 53).
See the inverter
Operator's Manual
for more information on troubleshooting a specific error.
Figure 26
Inverter Errors
Screen Items:
Low Output Voltage:
The inverter’s AC regulation cannot
be maintained under high load conditions.
AC Output Shorted:
The inverter exceeded its maximum
surge current due to severe overload.
AC Output Backfeed:
Usually indicates another AC power
source (out of phase with the inverter) was connected to
the unit’s AC output.
Stacking Error:
A programming problem among
stacked units. (Often occurs if there is no master.)
Low Battery V:
The DC voltage is below the Low Battery
Cut-Out (LBCO) set point.
High Battery V:
The DC voltage is above the inverter’s
acceptable level (as specified in the
Operator’s Manual
).
Over Temperature:
The inverter has exceeded its
maximum allowed operating temperature.
Phase Loss:
A slave was ordered to transfer to AC by the
master, but no AC is present. The unit continues
inverting. This is the only “Error” that is not accompanied
by a shutdown.
