 The following procedures should be performed annually (or more 

frequently under adverse operating conditions): 

 

•

 Gears and brushings of the winch must be kept lubricated – apply 

a thin film of grease to the gear and oil the brushings as needed 

 

•

 The ratchet pawl pivot point must be kept lubricated with a thin oil 
 

•

 do NOT get oil or grease on the friction discs
