Image processing chain
The block diagram (Figure 55) illustrates the flow of image data within the camera.
The features of the individual modules are described in more detail on the
following pages.
Note that, depending on firmware version, not all of the modules and features
shown in Figure 55 are available.
The Goldeye G/CL contains a chain of image processing modules, called the
image
processing chain
. The first module (called
Analog Gain
) receives the source signal
from the sensor. Each of the subsequent modules receives the output data of the
previous module as input.
The behavior of each module is configurable by software via specific features. That
way, it is possible to set parameters or operation modes for each module.
Each module passes on the data to the succeeding module. The output of the last
module is stored in the frame memory, which in turn passes it on to the GigE or
Camera Link interface for output.
