Overview
The AT-EX1001SC/GM1 Gigabit Ethernet Multimode Extender (Figure 1)
allows you to extend the maximum distance of standard multimode fiber cable
for 1000Base-SX Gigabit Ethernet beyond the distance limitations imposed by
the current IEEE 802.3z standard. With this unit, you can extend your network
up to 2 kilometers (1.24 miles) over 50/125 or 62.5/125 micron multimode fiber
optic cabling.
