Starting the Device Manager
The procedures for accessing the Device Manager are different among
Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. To start the Device Manager
on your system, perform one of the following procedures:



“Device Manager on Windows Vista and Windows 7” on page 47

on Windows XP
To start the Device Manager on Windows XP, do the following:
1. Right-click on Computer and select Properties .
The System Properties window is opened as shown in Figure 16.

2. Select the Hardware Tab.
The Hardware page is shown in Figure 17 on page 44.
