29M2/SP-BA Fiber Network Adapter Installation and User’s Guide

Installing the Driver Software

Once you physically install the 29M2/SP-BA network card, the system

detects the new hardware and creates an entry in Device Manager when

the Windows operating system first boots up. Shortly after you log in, you

need to install the driver software for your adapter card.

Note

To install the driver software, you must have administrative

privileges.

To install the driver software, do the following:

1. Access Device Manager. see “Accessing Device Manager” on

page 39.

2. In the Device Manager window, double-click

Network Adapters

expand the field.

3. Right-click

Allied Telesis Device

The pop-up menu appears. See Figure 16 as an example.
