Section 6 Adjustments
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the tumbler before servicing.
• Close gas shut-off valve to gas tumbler before servicing.
• Close steam valve to steam tumbler before servicing.
• Never start the tumbler with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the tumbler is properly grounded.

70. LOADING DOOR SWITCH
Refer to Figure 12.
The door switch actuator should be adjusted so the
cylinder stops when door is opened 2.75 inches
(70 mm), maximum. This switch is a normally
open switch and is closed when the door is closed.
(Switch actuator is located on upper door hinge.)
a. Close door and start tumbler, then slowly open
loading door. Cylinder and heat system should
shut off when door is open 2.75 inches (70
mm), maximum.
b. Slowly close loading door. When door is .5
inches (13 mm), minimum, from being fully
closed, the actuator on the door should contact
the switch lever and depress it enough to close
the switch with an audible “click”.
c. If actuator does not depress the switch lever
enough to operate the switch, adjust actuator by
rotating counterclockwise and repeat steps “a”
and “b”.
71. CYLINDER DOOR STRIKE
The door strike must be adjusted so it has
sufficient tension to hold loading door closed
against the force of a tumbling load. The door
strike is properly adjusted when 8-15 lbs. (17.6-33
kg) of pull is required to open door.
To adjust, open door, loosen nut and turn door
strike screw in or out as required. Retighten nut.
