Installing the Adapter

Chapter 2 provides instructions for installing the adapter on a PowerFlex 
drive.

Before installing the PROFIBUS adapter:

Verify that you have all required equipment. Refer to 

Chapter 1

, 

Getting Started

.

To commission the adapter, you must set a unique node address. (Refer 
to the 

Glossary

 for details about node addresses.) 

Important:

New settings are recognized only when power is applied to 
the adapter. If you change a setting, cycle power.
