The key fob contains an integrated mechanical
key. To use the mechanical key, simply push the
key release button.
Lock or unlock the door with a push of the
button.
Key Fob
To Unlock The Doors
Push and release the unlock button on the key
fob to unlock the doors. The parking lights and
turn signal lights will flash to acknowledge the
signal, and the illuminated entry system will
turn on.
To Lock The Doors
With Integrated Key
You can insert the key with either side up. To
lock the door, turn the key to the left. To unlock
the door, turn the key to the right.
With Button On Key Fob
Pushing and releasing the lock button on the
key fob will lock all of the doors, turn off the
dome light, and flash the turn signals one time.
If one or more doors are open, the doors will not
be locked. This is indicated by a rapid flashing of
the turn signals.
NOTE:
The doors will lock if the decklid is open.
When a speed of more than 12 mph (20 km/h) is
reached, the doors will be locked automatically if
the “Autoclose” function was selected in the
instrument cluster display. Refer to “Instrument
Cluster Display” in “Getting To Know Your
Instrument Panel” for further information.
When the doors are locked from outside the
vehicle (using the key fob), the indicator above
the door lock button will illuminate for a few
seconds and then start flashing (deterrent
function).
