Track repeat
(Repeat function)
Press briefly button “
RPT
” (

peat last played track. When this function is
on the display will show “

tape rewinding at the end of the track,

” will flash on the display. Press briefly

Tape track scanning
(Tape Scan function)
This function enables to play all tape
tracks.
Press button “
SCAN
” (

) to play every
track for 10 seconds. The display will show

SCAN
”. During scanning the wording

SCAN
” flashes on the display. Press but-
ton “
SCAN
” (

) again to stop scanning
when playing a track: wording “
SCAN
” will
disappear from the display and the tape will
be played continuously from this track.
Skipping blank tape sections
(Blank Skip function)
Press button “
BLS
” (

) to skip auto-
matically blank tape sections longer than 15
seconds. When this function is on the dis-
play will show “
BLS
”. Press button “
BLS
”

) again to quit.
WARNING
In certain cases the follow-
ing functions cannot be activated properly:
– searching previous/next track
– track repeat
– scan tracks
– blank skip
Wrong or missing activation can be due to
the following causes:
– low recorded tapes (e.g.: weak record-
ing or imperfect recording)
– tapes with conversations
– tapes with blank sections shorter than
3 seconds
– tapes with long mute intervals
– tapes with no blank section (e.g. live
recording)
– tapes with hard background noise in
blank sections.
Dolby B function
Press “
M
“ (

) to turn on/off the Dolby
B function (device for limiting the noise pro-
duced under licence of “Dolby Laboratories
Licensing Corporation”. Dolby and the “
M
“ symbol are brands patented by “Dolby
Laboratories Licensing Corporation”.
When the Dolby function is on, the display
shows the “
M
“ symbol.
Ejecting the tape
Press button “

) to eject the tape.
After ejecting the tape, wording “
TAPE
”
disappears and the display will show
“
EJECT
” for a few seconds. Then the dis-
play will show “
NO TAPE
”, it is then pos-
sible to play the Radio by pressing button
“
BAND
” (

) or a Compact Disc by press-
ing button “
TAPE CD
” (

).
The tape cannot be ejected if the radio is
off.
