Refrigerator does not turn on 

•  Check if power cord is plugged into a live circuit 

with proper voltage

•  Check for blown household fuse or tripped circuit 

breaker

•  Check if refrigerator control is correctly set

Odor

•  Check for rotten or spoiled food
•  Clean interior if necessary

Foods in the refrigerating chamber are 

frozen

•  Check if thermostat is over adjusted
•  Check if foods containing water are inside the glass 

partition

Long-term compressor operation

•  On hot days or if room is too warm, the compressor 

will run longer

•  Check if hot foods were placed in the refrigerator
•  Check for thick frost layer (defrost is needed)
•  Check if chiller compartment is overstocked 

Refrigerator door does not properly 

close

•  Check if chiller compartment door is stuck by food 

packages

•  Check if too much food
•  Check if refrigerator is properly leveled

Loud noises

•  Remove items from top or behind the refrigerator
•  Compressor running when starting up or shutting 

down

•  Electric switch valve may rattle during normal 

 

operation

Condensation 

Condensation may collect on the exterior surface and 

door seals of the chiller compartment during high 

 

humidity.  Wipe away with dry cloth.

Water drops generated on the back of 

the refrigerator

The refrigerating chamber will periodically frost and 

defrost. This is normal.
