ALECTO DTS-734(B) ELECTRONIC TIMER
Your DTS-734(B) offers you many variations for programming over a period of a week.
Operation is simple, due to an integrated microprocessor.
The built-in rechargeable battery guarantees full reliability, even when you have a power failure.
IMPORTANT:
Before connecting the timer to the mains outlet, check that the mains voltage and frequency correspond to the rating plate (rear side
of
timer).
Charge the built-in battery before using. Insert the timer into a wall socket and leave it connected for a couple of hours.
Do not overload. Refer to the Ampere rating (Amp) on the rating plate.
Ensure that the ON/OFF switch of any appliance connected to the timer is in the ON position.
Do not expose the timer to extremely high or low temperatures. Do not place the timer in direct sunlight.
Do not allow the timer to come into contact with water.

HOW TO SET:
1) Keep the TIME button depressed during the entire ‘actual time and day setting’ procedure.
2) Set the actual time using buttons HOUR and MINUTE.
3) Set the present day of the week using the button DAY.
4) Now release the button TIME; the clock is running.
SWITCHING TIMES:
You can set as much as six switching-ON commands and an equal number of corresponding switching-OFF
commands in the following manner:
1) Depress button PROG once. The actual time will disappear from the display. The indication PROG ON --.-- will be
displayed instead, denoting a vacant storage space.
2) Set the required switching-ON time using buttons HOUR and MINUTE.
3) Set the day(s) on which the switching-ON command must be executed.
4) Depress button PROG once. In the display the indication PROG OFF --.-- will become vissible.
5) Set the required switching-OFF time using buttons HOUR and MINUTE.
6) Set the day(s) on which the switching-OFF command must be executed.
7) Press button PROG to save the command. When indication PROG ON --.-- appears you can begin setting another switching-ON
command.
8) Press the TIME button to return to the idle state.
DAY BUTTON: VARIOUS POSSIBILITIES:
EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK:
If you do not enter the day while setting a switching command, this command will be carried out on every day of the week.
ONE DAY OF THE WEEK:
If you enter the day while setting a switching command, this command will be carried out only at that specifi c day of the week.
ON A WEEKLY COMBINATIONS OF DAYS:
When pressing button DAYS several times, you will fi nd by means of the display that three combinations of days are also possible:
- MO TU WE TH FRI = Monday till Friday
- SA SU
= Saturday and Sunday
- MO TU WE TH FRI SA = Monday till Saturday
- no days on display = every day of the week
If you enter such a combination of days instead of one individual day, the command will be carried out at the set time on each of the
corresponding days of the week.
SORT OF APPLIANE:
Due to the DTS-734(B)’s switching-relais, almost all kind of devices can be connected to the timer to switch the connected device.
However do not connect (household)machines with a load of more than 2000 watt because the starting current will damage the relais contacts.
Outside lamps can be switched providing the timer is installed inside the house.
OVERRIDE:
Use the MAN button to manually switch the connected device.
CHECK:
Press the PROG button to check the prorammed switching times and to re-programm if necessary. Press TIME to return to the idle state.
ERASE:
Press the PROG button untill the switching command which must be erased is on the display. Press button HR and MIN untill the displays
shows --.-- and press PROG.
