has extended to its maximum.
4. Make sure that each and every ladder section is locked before you climb onto
the ladder (see chapter “Locking device”).
Extending the ladder to its total length
1. Set up the ladder on a solid and level ground.
2. Stabilise the ladder by placing a foot on the support foot
2
.
3. Extend the ladder from the bottom up, rung by rung until the total length is
reached (see
Fig. E and F).
Keep in mind that the locking devices of the ladder only lock when you have
extended the ladder to its total length.
4. Make sure that each and every ladder section is locked before you climb onto
the ladder (see chapter “Locking device”).
Retracting the ladder
If you activate the lowest unlock keys (on the second rung from
below), all rungs of the above ladder section are automatically
unlocked and retracted. If you begin with one of the upper rungs,
this only unlocks the rungs above it and the rungs below must be
unlocked separately.
1. Make sure that the ladder stands on a solid and level ground.
2. When retracting the ladder ensure that your fingers, hands and arms are at the
height of the actuated unlock keys
1
.
3. Push both unlock keys of a rung towards the centre so that the red area below
becomes visible (see
Fig. G).
The locking device unlocks and the remainder of the ladder above the rung is
retracted.
