Descaling the appliance
Descale the steam cleaner as soon as you notice a decrease in the steam
power.
− You can fi ll the water tank with distilled water in order to avoid limescale
build-up.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury/damage.
There is a risk of scalding and a risk of damage to
surrounding objects from the steam or from limescale.
− Never leave the steam cleaner unattended during the
descaling process.
1. Fill the tank with vinegar and water at a ratio of 1/3.
2. Replace the water tank.
3. Plug in the appliance, allow it to heat up and switch on the steam cleaner.
4. Place the appliance in a position where the surrounding surfaces or fl oors
are resistant to the steam, e.g. in the bathtub or shower cubicle.
5. Leave the appliance to generate steam until the water tank is empty.
6. Repeat the descaling process as often as required to recover the normal
steam output.
7. Then fi ll the water tank with clean water and allow the appliance to
generate steam until the water tank is empty.
Descaling the water tank
Follow the instructions below to remove limescale from the tank:
1. Remove the water tank from the appliance.
2. Fill the tank with water and add one to two tablespoons of vinegar.
3. Close the water tank and shake well.
4. Leave the solution in the tank for a few hours in the tank in order to
loosen the limescale.
5. Then empty the water tank and rinse it out thoroughly with water.
