Using the grass trimmer as an edger
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
Improper use of the grass trimmer may result in injury.
− Always make sure that the motor housing and the handle are
securely locked into one of the two positions and also make
sure that the button for setting the position has securely
locked into place.
− Do not in any case use the grass trimmer if the motor housing
or the handle are located in an “intermediate position” and
have not locked into place.
You can use the grass trimmer to cut the edges of grass and beds. To do so, proceed as
follows:
1. Make sure that the grass trimmer is switched off and disconnected from the mains.
2. Push the button
6
down (see
Fig. G
).
3. Hold the button down and gently turn the handle
1
/ motor housing
12
over.
4. Let go of the button and turn the handle / motor housing by 180° up to the stop
point until the button has locked into position.
5. If necessary, set the inclination angle (see chapter “Setting the inclination angle”).
You have converted the grass trimmer to an edger and can now cut the lawn edges
vertically (see
Fig. L
).
