Step 11: Pump Switch Quick Test
TEST PUMP OFF:
When the actuator rod on the VertiMAC™ pump
switch is in the down position (deactivated), the pump should be off and
the green power LED should be the only LED illuminated on the Sump
Advisor™ alarm panel.
TEST PUMP ON:
When the actuator rod on the VertiMAC™ pump
switch is in the up position (activated), the pump should be on and the
green pump run LED should be illuminated on the Sump Advisor™
alarm panel.
Step 12: Sensor/Alarm Panel Quick Test
TEST HIGH LEVEL ALARM OFF:
When the VertiMAC™ pump switch
is activated, the pump should be on, the green pump run LED should
illuminate, and the pump run auxiliary dry contacts will activate on the
Sump Advisor™ alarm panel.
TEST HIGH LEVEL ALARM ON:
When the VertiMAC™ pump switch
is activated and the water level rises activating the float on the Sump
Advisor™ sensor it will also activate the Sump Advisor™ alarm panel.
When the alarm panel is an alarm condition, the red high sump LED
should illuminate, the buzzer should annunciate, and the alarm auxiliary
dry contacts will activate. Pressing the alarm silence pushbutton will
silence the buzzer. When the alarm condition is cleared, the system will
automatically reset itself for the next alarm cycle.

Power On LED
- The green LED illuminates to indicate the alarm panel has power

High Sump LED
- The red LED illuminates during a high level alarm condition

Pump Run LED
- The green LED illuminates to indicate the pump is running

Alarm Buzzer
- Annunciates during an alarm condition

Alarm Test Pushbutton
- Press to test the alarm to ensure proper operation; the
buzzer should annunciate, high sump LED should illuminate, and auxiliary contacts
should activate

Alarm Silence Pushbutton
- Press to silence the buzzer during an alarm condition;
the alarm LED remains illuminated until the alarm condition has been cleared and the
alarm panel will auto reset for the next alarm cycle

Terminal Block
- Connect the Sump Advisor™ sensor to the alarm panel for local
high level alarm and pump run indication

Auxiliary Contacts
- Interface with an external device including building automation
systems and phone dialers; the contacts (normally open) are rated 24VDC/24VAC,
50/60 Hz, and 100mA maximum

Battery Backup
- 9VDC battery (not included) for backup during power outages
10 Panel Compartment
- Wire connector for 9VDC battery (backup power), auxiliary dry
contacts, and access cover with break away tabs for routing wire
11 Power Supply (not shown)
- 120VAC, 60 Hz, 5-foot power cord
12 Mounting Holes
- Two mounting holes are included on the alarm panel enclosure to
securely fasten in the desired mounting location
13 Sensor Housing
- Internal signaling components protected, waterproof sensor
14 Sensor Cable
- The 3-conductor cable sends signal from the sensor to the alarm panel
15 Mounting Tabs
- Secures the sensor to the top of the VertiMAC™ pump switch
16 Float Basket
- Houses high level float and protects from obstructions
17 Float
- Rises and lowers inside the float basket based on the liquid level
18 Locking Tabs (not shown)
- Secures float basket to bottom of sensor housing
