Control card modules
Figure 5-1 shows the location of the primary rate, data interface, EPROM and
personality modules on the Control card.

Opening the unit
To open the unit, you need a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
Procedure 5-1 To open the unit

Ensure that the unit is turned off and that the power cord is unplugged.

Remove the seven top cover screws and slide off the top cover (see Figure 5-2). If
the unit has rack-mount brackets attached, remove them also.

Danger —
Hazardous voltages inside—ensure that the power is off
before removing the top cover.
Warning —
Electronic circuitry is easily damaged by electrostatic
discharge. Wear a properly attached antistatic wrist strap before handling
any electronic component. Handle the modules by their edges.
