2.2.2. Adjusting the position of the redression area
for sizes S/S, XS/XS, XXS
The
CDS
®
Ankle Brace Junior
in sizes S/S, XS/XS and XXS is built on the basis
of the 360° Nano Hinge. In the 360° Nano Hinge, the position of the spring
housing to the lower leg rod can be adjusted. This allows the location of the
redression area to be changed and adapted to the patient.

Remove the pad on the back of the hinge.

Loosen the central screw with the tool supplied until the hinge rod can be
lifted completely from the toothing.

You can adjust the position of the redression range in 10° steps. Use a
goniometer to determine the desired position and adjust the joint accord-
ingly. By changing the redression range, the extension or flexion stop can be
adjusted in 10° increments. The joint settings must be made identically on
both sides.

Place the joint rod back onto the gear teeth and tighten the central screw
again.
