Designer's Introduction
Welcome to the Albion range of loudspeaker cabinets
for guitar and bass amplification. All our cabinets are
designed and built by us from the ground up. We design
and build our own loudspeakers, including all the
component parts (cones, suspensions, coils, metalwork,

all the hardware, when you buy an Albion cabinet you are
buying a very unique piece of equipment – not something
that has been put together by a company using another

are world class and are very proud of them. We put a lot
of hard-work and care and attention into all our products.
We hope that you like them too, and that they serve you
well for many, many years to come.
Thank you

As a general rule all our loudspeaker cabinets for guitar
amplification are designed for 16 ohm operation – but

of any variation from this!
As a general rule all our loudspeaker cabinets for bass
guitar amplification are designed for 8 ohm operation –
but please check your particular cabinet specification in
case of any variation from this!
Nearly every one of our cabinets is solidly constructed
from 15mm Plywood with strategically designed and
placed reinforcing pieces to prevent undue vibration and
resonances occurring, whilst at the same time keeping
weight to a controlled amount. Also our baffles are,
wherever possible and suitable, “dado” jointed into the
cabinet structure itself. This is done for both cabinet
rigidity and to provide a good structural platform for the
loudspeakers to project the sound outwards rather than
into vibrating the cabinet itself, thus wasting sonic energy
as is the case with other makes of cabinet that rely on
screwing several pieces of wood together.

Even though we try not to make our cabinets any heavier
than we need to, we do apologise if you think that they are
“heavy” – they really cannot be made lighter – not unless
you want to have a less than optimum sound performance!
