1. DESCRIPTION
1.1. The AVP1222C01
The AVP1222C01 is a video preselector that provides twelve loaded inputs and two
outputs. It performs the switching action during the non-visible lines of the vertical
interval using Input 1 as the reference signal. The AVP1222C01 can also be configured to
switch between two fields or between two frames of a television signal.
The AVP1222C01 can operate with PAL or NTSC composite video signals, or three
AVP1222C01 modules can be combined to work with component video. When using
component video the three modules work together as one preselector and the switching
action occurs simultaneously.
The AVP1222C01 can be combined with other modules of the AAPXX2X family installed
in the same mounting frame for simultaneous switching in program material that
contains video and analog audio.
It is possible to monitor the AVP1222C01 status remotely using a communications
controller module installed in the same mounting frame. In addition, certain controller
modules provide SNMP management and the ability to record events in a file including
date and time information for further analysis.
The AVP1222C01 is a TL3000 terminal line module and can be housed in a three rack
unit (3 RU) UR3000 mounting frame or a 1 RU UR3100 mounting frame.
The AVPXX2X family consists of four modules within the TL3000 terminal equipment
line, with the following variations:
• AVP0621: A video preselector with six loop-through inputs and one output.
• AVP0622: A video preselector with six loop-through inputs and two outputs.
• AVP1221: A video preselector with twelve loaded inputs and one output.
• AVP1222: A video preselector with twelve loaded inputs and two outputs.
