4.2.4.2. Operation n Manual Mode
This mode permits manual selection of any of the standard sampling rates and of
any of the three reference inputs.
4.3. Description of the processing unit
The AAC3008C01 includes an audio signal processing unit that provides a matrix for
connection between the eight inputs and eight outputs with independent summation
and level adjustments for each input. The following graphic displays a simplified
equivalent of this processing block for one input.

The input matrix allows connection of any of the eight audio inputs to any of the eight
outputs. First, each input can be inverted or not in phase. Then, the desired gain is
applied to each input. Finally all the signals desired for a given output are summed
together.
The level control permits independent adjustment of each of the input signals to the
matrix. The adjustment range consists of 128 steps of 0.5dB each, from -39.5dB to
+24dB. The output signal can also be silenced.
The AAC3008C01 comes from the factory programmed to encode each channel of
analog audio into a substream without any summation, and the level controls are preset
at the factory to 0dB without phase inversion.
