SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• An electric scooter is a non-vehicular sports and entertainment equipment, however

if you drive it in an area that is open to the public, it will also be deemed as a vehicle.

This means there are also possible safety risks for all modes of transport. Strictly

follow the instructions in this manual to ensure the maximum protection for your and

the others’ safety during your ride, and ensure that you fully comply with national and

local laws and traffic regulations.

• Please respect the pedestrians` right of way when driving. Avoid frightening the pe-

destrians, especially any children. When passing by pedestrians, slow down and give

ample warning. Pass from the left side of the pedestrian (applicable to the country

where the vehicles travel on the right in traffic) as much as possible. When you are

face to face with pedestrians, keep to the right and decrease your speed.

• In addition to the above it is very important that you note the following: In case you

use your electric scooter on public roads or another place open to the public, you

may be at risk of being charged with unauthorized driving/ improper operation of vehi-

cles or transporters, and face monetary or regulatory penalties, even if you are in full

compliance with this safe driving guide. You must comply with any local and national

laws and regulations when using the electric scooter. Please also note that while you

are riding the scooter, you may also be injured by other vehicles as you would while

walking or cycling on public roads. As with all vehicles, the faster the electric scooter

is driving, the longer the brakes need to stop, and on some smooth surfaces the emer-

gency brakes can also cause the wheels to slip and lose balance or even causing

a fall. Therefore, it is important to be vigilant and maintain the proper speed during

driving, and to maintain a reasonable safety distance with other vehicles and transport

means. Please also be vigilant and drive at low speed before entering an unfamiliar

terrain. You must strictly follow the safety requirements of this manual for drivers in

countries and regions where there are no set national standards and regulations for

electric scooters. Alba or Alba UK shall not be held liable for any claims, personal

injury, accident, legal dispute, or any other adverse event that may arise due to failure

to follow or violation of the instructions set out in this manual.

• To prevent any injuries, do not lend your electric scooter to a person who has never

operated such a transporter before, unless they take the necessary precautions.  If

you do lend your electric scooter, ensure your friend’s safety and instruct them to wear

the necessary protective equipment and take all safety precautions.

• Please check the electric scooter for each time before driving. If you find that the

parts are loose, the battery life is obviously reduced, the tire is slow to leak or exces-

sive wear, turn to abnormal sound or malfunction, please stop using it immediately,

and do not driving force. And call your local distributor for professional guidance or

maintenance services.
