Installing batteries

The CBBCAS2 unit can be powered by either mains power or battery power.

In order to utilise battery power the mains cable must be disconnected from 

the unit.

1:

 Push the battery cover clip downwards in the direction indicated, and remove 

the cover.

2:

 Fit 

6

 x C size batteries in the sequence shown, observing polarity.

3:

 Refit the battery cover.

NOTE:

 When left unused for long periods of time using battery power, it is 

advised to switch the power to the OFF position to avoid battery drainage 
in STANDBY mode.

Mains power

1:

 Connect the mains power cable to the 

MAINS POWER INPUT 

on the rear of the 

unit.

2:

 Connect the mains plug to a 

UK 

power source and switch 

ON.

Radio operation

1:

 Set the 

FUNCTION SELECTOR 

switch to the  

‘RADIO’

 position.

2:

 Select the required band 

(FM.ST (Stereo)

FM 

 or 

MW)

 using the 

BAND 

SELECTOR 

switch.

3:

 Rotate the 

TUNING CONTROL 

to set the frequency required.

4:

 Adjust the sound level using the 

VOLUME 

control.

5:

 To turn off the radio and enter 

STANDBY 

mode set the 

FUNCTION 

selector 

switch the 

OFF/TAPE 

position.
