DESCALING
Note:
Descale the coffee maker regularly. The intervals depend mainly on water hardness and the
frequency of use. Only use commercially available descaling agents and follow the manufacturer’s
instructions.
• Fill the water tank (3) with water and appropriate amount of descaling agent up to the
max
marking on the water
level gauge (4).
• Start the brewing process (- Before first use).
• As soon as the brewing process is finished, remove the full glass carafe (10) carefully. Hold the glass carafe (10) by
its handle only.
Danger of burns!
• Dispose of the water with descaling agent. Do not dispose of in enameled sinks. Do not use the same solution for a
second time. If the results are not satisfactory, repeat the process.
• Residues of the descaling agent can affect the coffee taste. Let the coffee maker complete 2 or 3 brewing cycles
with clear water to remove all residues.
• Clean the appliance afterwards (- Cleaning and care).
