Dealer Set-up Instructions
The pull type Aerator is shipped partially assembled. Some components will need to be assembled at the
dealership and is the responsibility of the Bush Hog dealer. The Aerator should be delivered to the owner
completely assembled. Set up Aerator as received from the factory with these instructions. Open parts box and
lay parts out to make location easy. Refer to the parts lists and exploded view drawings for more detail. This
implement is shipped partially assembled. Assembly will be easier if components are aligned and loosely
assembled before tightening hardware.
Always use personal protection devices such as eye, ear and feet protectors during
assembly.
The Aerator is top heavy. Make sure Aerator is properly supported under the upper square
tube frame to keep unit from rotating on its times during assembly and set-up. Otherwise,
the unit could rotate and cause serious injury.
HITCH ASSEMBLY
Bolt the Hitch Coupler (1) to Hitch Mount (2) using
1-1/2” x 3” hex head capscrew with hole (3), and
1-1/2” washer (4) and 1-1/2” Castle nut with a
1/4”x3” cotter pin (6). Place a 1-1/2” USS washer
(7) between the Hitch Coupler (1) and Hitch Mount
(2).
Maintain a minimum of 20% of the tractor and equipment weight on the tractor front wheels
when attachments are in the transport position. Failure to do so could cause the tractor to
tip over causing personal injury or death.
